Air moves through the load — mesh panels let heat and moisture out instead of trapping them against the produce.

Load-bearing parts stay solid — loops, seams and top band are woven, so ventilation does not cost strength.
Mesh fabric is woven on the same loom as the solid fabric but with a sparse weft, leaving a regular grid of openings. The body is assembled with solid woven reinforcement where the loops are sewn and a solid band around the mouth, so the bag can be lifted and filled without tearing at the mesh. Mesh size is chosen against the smallest item in the load: onions and potatoes take a coarse mesh, smaller produce needs a tighter weave.
